Introduction
In Cameroon, thousands of young people finish school every year with dreams of building a better life — yet many struggle to find employment opportunities. The lack of technical and professional skills has become one of the biggest challenges facing youth across the country.
At the Gilead Association for Youth Empowerment (GAYEP), we see potential in every young person. Our vision is to transform that potential into productivity through vocational and technical skills training that leads directly to sustainable livelihoods.
Vocational Training: A Path to Self-Reliance
GAYEP offers training programs in key fields such as tailoring, hairdressing, carpentry, ICT, agriculture, and other vocational disciplines. Each course is designed not only to teach technical skills but also to foster creativity, innovation, and business management.
Students are equipped to start their own enterprises or gain meaningful employment in local industries. By focusing on practical, hands-on learning, GAYEP ensures that every participant can turn knowledge into real income opportunities.
Real-Life Impact
Through partnerships with local institutions and businesses, hundreds of youths have already graduated and started their own small enterprises — from tailoring shops and tech repair centers to modern farms. These young entrepreneurs are now employing others and contributing to the growth of their communities.
Call to Action
When we empower the youth, we empower the future. Support GAYEP in expanding our training centers and providing scholarships for young people eager to learn.
“Empower one youth, and you uplift an entire community.”
